Harley Pryne, is the engine that drives the Jump Ship blues band. Like Brother Tedd, Harley has his roots in rock. Harley started his drumming career during the late 60s and early 70s with the Jefferson Brass band, which was well known around central Wisconsin. The band played a wide variety of music ranging from blues to brass such as Blood, Sweat and Tears to Led Zepplin. After playing with the Jefferson Brass band, Harley also played with other central Wisconsin rock bands. Harley retired his drumming profession to work in the mill. While living in Sandstone, Minnesota, Harley came out of retirement from 1994 through 1996 and played with well-known rock and blues rock musicians throughout the country. Harley's main influences are Ginger Baker from Eric Calpton's early band "cream" as well as Jon Bonham from "Led Zepplin." Harley states, "I liked the way they worked the beat with double bass drums." Harley came out of retirement once again to team up with the Jump Ship blues band. He states, "I'm grateful these fantastic musicians are willing to give me a chance to blow the dust off my sticks and share in the process of making great music!"
